Who We Are
While we are each a bit unique, we are very similar in approach and training. We routinely consult and refer to each other. You are in good hands with any of us. To allow us to best serve the Kansas City area, please do not book appointments with multiple providers.

With my training and experience as a scientist-practitioner, I am dedicated to offering cutting edge, empirically supported treatments that have been proven to work for anxiety, OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors and related conditions. It is my pleasure to work with individuals across the lifespan -with specialized training spanning childhood anxiety through adult populations. My aim is to provide a personalized experience wherein individuals learn strategies that have been shown to be most effective at reducing their symptoms, improving their quality of life and enhancing their independent and long-term management of these conditions. Essentially, I want to train individuals and families to become experts at managing symptoms and to be empowered by this new "way of life."

I am also the co-founder of Peak Mind: The Center for Psychological Strength, which is dedicated to making information and tools from the fields of Psychology and Life Design widely available and easily accessible to anyone who is interested in creating a life they love.

I specialize in treating anxiety and OCD in individuals across the lifespan with a focus on skill-building to reduce anxious and avoidant patterns. If seeking therapy for your child, know that I tend to work very actively with parents and caregivers. I spend time addressing any co-occuring behavioral difficulties; making sure parents feel fully equipped to handle tough moments. My style is active, goal-oriented and value-driven. Anxiety can interrupt life, but with enthusiasm, a bit of humor, and a lot of compassion, we can move through and adjust the patterns that have made life difficult.
